Admission Process For B.E.
Month of notification / Last date of application
Admission for M.P. domicile candidates will be done on the basis of merit in the Entrance Examination for Engineering (PET) conducted by the Professional Examination Board of M.P. and subsequent counseling conducted by RGPV Bhopal. The details of dates of exams and counseling are announced by the respective body. Their Web-Site address are given below:

The admission for the quota of all-India seats is done on the basis of merit in the list declared by the AIEEE in the entrance examination held by CBSE and subsequent counseling conducted by RGPV Bhopal. The details regarding dates of exam. and counseling are given by the respective body. The relevant Web-Site address is given below:

For the First Semester of B.E. Program
Admission to the students is given in 1st semester by the Rajiv Gandhi Technological University through counseling based on their merit in the PET (Pre Engineering Test) for MP Domicile & AIEEE for All India seats.
MP Domicile are eligible for MP quota seats as well as All India Seat
All India Students i. e. students from other states are Eligible only in All India quota.

Documents Required
The documents listed below are to be submitted along with the necessary fees:-
Original T.C. from the Institution last attended.
Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
Original Mark sheet of 10+2/Graduation which ever is applicable is to be submitted.
Admission form (Available in the Institute) duly completed and signed by Parent/Guardian.
Original Mark sheet of PET/AIEEE
Demand Draft payable in the name of Shree Institute of Science & Technology, Bhopal.
Two Passport size photographs.
All these formalities have to be completed within 7 days from the date of the counseling of the candidate.
Lateral Admission to the Second Year of B.E.
Admission is made through the Counseling by DTE for the students who have passed their Diploma from AICTE/DTE/RGPV Approved Institute in first Division. The DTE/ Competent authority prescribes allotment of branch. Admissions is Available on 10% of sanctioned intake.

Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) :
Persons who are citizens of other countries (except Pakistan and Bangladesh) who at any time held an Indian Passport or who or either of his/her parents or any of his/her grand parent was a citizen of India by virtue of the provisions of the Constitution of India or Sec. 2 (b) of Citizenship Act, 1955 (Act No. 97 of (1955).
Foreign Nationals :
Citizens of all countries other than India, who are not of Indian origin as defined under PIO.
Foreign Students :
foreign students in this context shall be defined as a student who possesses a foreign passport.
Non Resident Indian (NRI) (as per Income Tax Act, 1961)
As per Income Tax Act, 1961, an individual is Non - Resident for income tax purposes, when he is "not a resident" or who is "not ordinarily resident". A person is treated as "not ordinarily resident" when any of the following conditions is satisfied :
>>If he has not been resident in India in 9 out of 10 preceding years ;
OR
>>If he has been in India for a period of 730 days or more during the preceding 7 years.
A person, who is Non - Resident in India or Not Ordinarily Resident, is taxed in India for his income in India. He is not taxed in India for income abroad
